Mt Eden Normal Primary has a proud 130 year history of providing quality education to local youngsters.  Our vision is to produce wide-eyed and enthusiastic learners, who demonstrate the development of a range of dispositions which will enable them to be resourceful, responsible and productive citizens.

We are supported by a talented and committed staff, who deliver motivational, interactive and future focused programmes.  We are often visited by other educators who remark on the quality curriculum, our unique approach to teaching and learning, the high standard of student achievement, and the positive interactions between children and teachers. A recent ERO review cited us as being ‘a leading model in the development of the New Zealand Curriculum'. All staff have high expectations of learners in their care and ensure that their successes are celebrated in a range of ways.

Our school receives great support from the Board of Trustees, Parent Teacher Association and community, all of whom are hugely committed to our direction and appreciative of our efforts. Our door is always open and we welcome community assistance, feedback and suggestions.
